**美國大學生Greg在東海大學附屬中學國際教育處實習兩週圓滿結束**

**American College Student Greg Completes Two-Week Internship at the International Education Department of The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University**

2024年6月14日，來自Davidson College的大一學生Greg，順利結束了在東海大學附屬中學(The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University)國際教育處（International Education Department）為期兩週的實習。此次實習自6月3日開始，Greg積極參與並融入了學校的日常運作，與ESL (English as a Second Language)外語班以及EEP (English Enrichment Program)科學素養班師生們有著愉快而深刻的交流。

Greg表示，這段實習經驗對他來說是一次極為寶貴且有趣的體驗。學生們的熱情令他印象深刻，他也從中學到許多關於教育行政作業的知識。他驚訝於國際教育處龐大的業務量，並對其有條不紊的運作表示欽佩。實習期間，Ernest與Clark老師在工作中的細心指導與安排，使他感受到極大的支持和幫助。

在東海大學實習期間，Greg也於大學通識課上做了一次簡短的自我介紹，面對二百多位學生。他分享了自己在美國大學的生活，台風穩健，表現得非常出色。同學們對他的紐約口音表現出極大的興趣，場面氣氛熱烈。他的分享不僅豐富了學生們的國際視野，也讓他們對國外的教育生活有了更深入的了解。

Greg這次2週的實習主要集中在國際教育處，並在上午時間協助教學及行政工作。他擔任初中班級的教學助理，協助學科老師進行課堂活動，並在其中觀察學習。他的工作包括簡單的協助與活動中的協調，例如分享美國大學生活的故事，幫助學生拓展國際視野。鑒於Greg的能力，我們並未指派過於困難的行政任務，但他依然展現了高度的責任感與成熟度。

值得一提的是，Greg參加的是由Davidson College所推動的志願者計畫，這次實習由東海大學國際處委託校牧室統籌負責安排。兩週的實習時間裡，Greg不僅積極參與了教學助理工作，也在國際教育處的行政運作中扮演了重要角色。

On June 14, 2024, Greg, a freshman from Davidson College, successfully concluded his two-week internship at the International Education Department of The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University. The internship began on June 3, and Greg actively participated in and integrated into the school's daily operations, engaging in pleasant and meaningful exchanges with both teachers and students in ESL Program & EEP (English Enrichment Program).

Greg expressed that this internship experience was extremely valuable and enjoyable for him. He was deeply impressed by the enthusiasm of the students and learned a lot about educational administration. He was surprised by the extensive workload of the International Education Department and admired its orderly operation. Throughout the internship, Ernest and Professor Clark provided meticulous guidance and arrangements, making him feel greatly supported and helped.

During his time at Tunghai University, Greg also gave a brief self-introduction in a general education class, addressing over two hundred students. He shared his experiences of college life in the United States with confidence and excellence. The students were very interested in his New York accent, creating a lively atmosphere. His sharing not only enriched the students' international perspectives but also gave them a deeper understanding of educational life abroad.

Greg's two-week internship mainly focused on the International Education Department, where he assisted with teaching and administrative tasks in the mornings. He served as a teaching assistant in junior high classes, helping subject teachers with classroom activities and observing their teaching methods. His tasks included simple assistance and coordination in activities, such as sharing stories about American college life to help broaden the students' international outlook. Given Greg's capabilities, we did not assign overly challenging administrative tasks, yet he still demonstrated a high level of responsibility and maturity.

It is worth mentioning that Greg participated in this internship as part of a volunteer program promoted by Davidson College, arranged by the university chaplain's office at Tunghai University. Throughout the two-week internship, Greg actively engaged in teaching assistant duties and played an important role in the administrative operations of the International Education Department.
