迎接美利堅大學代表團，東大附中教育展現國際魅力
台灣時間2024年4月26日，陽光穿透雨後的台中雨後東大附中校園，國際教育處迎接了首次造訪的美利堅大學代表團。此次來賓包括美利堅大學IAP國際課程中心主任Sharmeen Ahsan-Bracciale、台灣區招生經理Fanpi Chen陳佳穎以及Emiy Wu吳佳娟。東大附中國際教育處主任陳怡誠與黃鐦逸老師代表學校接待了這一重要訪問團隊。
美利堅大學位於美國華盛頓特區，是美國頂尖的百大名校之一。根據《U.S. News & World Report》2023年排名，該校在大學教學方面名列第36位，在全美城市和研究型大學中實現碳中和排名第一，其公共事務學程位列全美前十，國際商業課程全美排名第八。其大學生與教師的比例為11:1，在全美國大學中排名第72位。
美利堅大學IAP國際課程中心主任Sharmeen Ahsan-Bracciale表示，她對台中東大附中校園環境印象深刻並表示喜愛，期待未來能有優秀的學生加入該校。

# American University Delegation Visits The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan - April 26, 2024: The sun-drenched campus of The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University in Taichung welcomed esteemed guests from American University on their inaugural visit to Taiwan. The delegation from the renowned institution included Sharmeen Ahsan-Bracciale, Senior Managing Director of the International Accelerator Program (IAP) Center, along with Fanpi Chen and Emiy Wu, both serving as IAP Taiwan Enrollment Managers.
The hosts from The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University, led by Director of the International Education Department Ernest Chen and Vice-director Clark Huang, extended a warm reception to the visiting delegation.
American University, situated in Washington, D.C., stands as one of the top 100 institutions in the United States. Highlighting some of its accolades, the university was ranked #36 in undergraduate teaching according to the U.S. News & World Report of 2023. Moreover, it claimed the top position nationwide among urban and research universities for achieving carbon neutrality, showcasing its commitment to environmental sustainability. Additionally, American University excelled in Public Affairs and International Business programs, securing top positions in national rankings.
Sharmeen Ahsan-Bracciale, Senior Managing Director of the IAP Center, expressed her admiration for the picturesque campus environment, emphasizing her fondness for it. She further extended a warm invitation, expressing hope for future collaboration and welcoming outstanding students from The Affiliated High School of Tunghai University to join American University.
