Exciting Journey of Field Trip J2: Exploring the Beauty of Shuishe at " Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm"
In the first semester of the 2023 Academic Year, The Affiliated High School of Tung Hai University once again raised the bar for outdoor education, introducing the highly anticipated ESL/EEP outdoor education activity. The goal of this activity is to integrate interdisciplinary teaching, foster core learning in students, and simultaneously enhance their appreciation for nature and culture, fostering a deep understanding and love for their hometown.
The J2 session, launched on December 4, 2023, was set against the picturesque backdrop of the "Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm," providing 8th grade students enrolled in ESL and EEP courses with a rich educational journey.
Despite less than ideal weather conditions, thanks to the execution team's flexible adaptation, the event proceeded smoothly and successfully. The program was diverse, including a guided tour of the park and foreign language challenges hosted by foreign teachers from the International Education Department. The challenges featured exciting English activities like Balloon Building, Obstacle Course Relay Sack Race, Three-legged Kickball Relay, and more. Simultaneously, through the exploration of Shuishe, students gained an in-depth understanding of their hometown, fostering interdisciplinary learning across environmental education, integrated studies, and language domains.
Special thanks to Director Ernest Chen and Teacher Clark Huang from the International Education Office for leading the administrative team and the hardworking foreign teachers Dan, Ryan, and Tom. They transformed this outdoor education journey into an unforgettable learning experience. Additionally, by delving into Shuishe and the Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm, students not only ignited their passion for knowledge but also gained a deeper appreciation for the scenic beauty of their hometown. We look forward to this learning journey becoming an unforgettable chapter in their lives.
東大附中戶外教育精彩啟程J2：「台一生態休閒農場」探索水社之美
東大附中在112學年度第1學期再度掀起戶外教育的高潮，推出了令人期待的ESL/EEP戶外教育活動。這次活動的目標是結合領域教學，培養學生核心學習，同時增進對自然和人文的關懷，深刻認識並熱愛家鄉。
於2023年12月4日展開的國二場次，選址於風景如畫的「台一生態休閒農場」，為修習ESL和EEP課程的國二學生提供了一場豐富的教育之旅。
雖然天氣狀況並不理想，感謝執行團隊的靈活應變，讓活動順利圓滿。活動內容豐富多元，包括園區導覽和由「國際教育處」外師們主持的外語闖關課程，涵蓋Balloon Building、Obstacle Course Relay Sack Race、Three-legged Kickball Relay等有趣的英文挑戰活動。同時，透過水社之旅，學生將深入了解自己的家鄉，培養環境教育、綜合領域和語文領域的跨學科學習。
在此，特別感謝國際教育處陳怡誠主任與黃鐦逸老師領導的行政團隊以及所有辛苦的外語老師Dan、Ryan、Tom團隊，讓這場戶外教育之旅成為一次難忘的學習體驗。同時，藉由深入了解水社和台一生態休閒農場，學生不僅點燃了對知識的熱情，也對家鄉的美景有了更深層次的體會。期待這趟學習之旅能夠成為他們生命中難忘的一頁。
